4.    Canasta

In this variant of rummy, 4 players play the game in partnership of two. Players are required to make as many melds as possible to score rummy points. In Canasta, players are needed to meld three or more than three cards of the same rank irrespective of the suit. Players can make additional melds by adding wild card joker cards or by adding cards of a similar rank.

5.    Contract Rummy

It is one of the popular variants of a rummy card game which is based on Gin Rummy. This form of rummy is also known as Wild Rummy or Joker Rummy. In Contract Rummy, players are required to play 7 rounds. In each round, players are required to form a combination of sequences. In contract rummy, players are dealt with 10 cards to play the first four rounds. While 12 cards are given to play the last three rounds. 6.    500 Rummy

500 Rummy is also known as Persian Rummy or Pinochle. The rules of the game are related to Classic Rummy games. 500 Rummy is played with 2 to 8 players. 8.    Dummy Rummy
